Creative Front-end Developer (Edinburgh)

Overview
We are looking for a creative front-end developer who is passionate about building beautiful and functional websites. The ideal candidate will thrive in a work environment that requires strong problem-solving skills and independent self-direction coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication. You will be as happy working within the company as you are in meetings with clients either via Zoom or in person.
Responsibilities will include the creation of UX/UI wireframes though to the development of the code that brings the designs to life.

  • Developing websites within a Design and Branding Agency environment
  • CSS3 & HTML5
  • PHP and jQuery / JavaScript / AJAX
  • Bootstrap or similar HTML / CSS framework
  • Creating websites using WordPress that work seamlessly across all devices
  • Adobe Creative Cloud
    • XD and Photoshop (required)
    • Illustrator, InDesign (a bonus)
  • Building reusable libraries for future use
  • Optimising sites for speed at build stage
  • A good understanding of SEO principles and ability to advise on the build to maximize optimisation

Communication is a key part of the job, so you must be outgoing and confident enough to challenge the brief, and the team, as well as contribute to the entire creative process.

Digital Designer (Edinburgh)

Overview
We are looking for digital designers who are passionate about creating beautiful and functional websites and other digital communications tools. The ideal candidate will thrive in a work environment that requires strong problem-solving skills and independent self-direction coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication. You will be as happy working within the company as you are in meetings with clients on Zoom or in person.

Candidates will be experienced in creating the structural design (UX) and beautiful visual design (UI) of non-transactional websites from inception through to briefing of the web developer. However, should the candidate have experience in basic WordPress development this would be a bonus.

A good knowledge of the following tools is required:

  • InDesign
  • Illustrator
  • Photoshop
  • Knowledge of web, video and 3d software is not essential but would be a bonus
  • XD
  • WordPress experience would be an advantage

Experience in the following would be a bonus:

  • Creating websites using WordPress or similar CMS that work seamlessly across all devices
